Magical Vacation Day 1: Disney’s Hollywood Studios January 28, 2010

What a day! After checking in, we immediately went to find some grub. We decided to stick close and ate in the Pop Century cafeteria. I had a super delicious Asian Chicken Salad and Jake had a Veggie Burger with fries. To top it off we both had a three scoop sundae. Oh. Lordy. I don’t know how, but we managed to eat it all!

After lunch we waddled over to the bus and got a ride to Hollywood Studios. We were still super full so we went first to the animation studio, followed by my first trip to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground. Next we did the Muppets 3D ride (which was better than I had expected) and caught part of the Highschool Musical 3 show before heading to the main goals of our trip.

Tower of Terror didn’t have the thrill that I had remembered it having, but geeeeez Louise, the Rock N’ Rollercoaster is just as awesome as ever. Post screaming my brains out, we waited about an hour and went on the 3D Toy Story ride. I won’t lie, it was worth it. I totally did not expect it to be as fun as it was (Jake totally kicked my butt but oh well :-P)

Tomorrow we will post about dinner…it was it’s on adventure for sure! Good night!

Hello from Orlando! January 27, 2010

Here we are! Orlando at last! We are on the ride to Pop Century Resort, and hopefully our package will be there. To avoid checking luggage I shipped all of our toiletries to the hotel. The bus is PACKED and I have yet to see a family speaking English. It’s like “it’s a small world” but IRL. I enjoy it for two reasons…1) I can eavesdrop on the French people and 2) no one will understand when Jake and I are making fools of ourselves!

Disney Cruise 2010 January 25, 2010

Zoey will be sitting this adventure out, but she gets a little vacation of her own (because a gal like her works so hard all day long) at Brickyard Kennel in Yarmouth. She always has fun there, so I’m sure this time will be no different.

Jake and I depart on Wednesday. Bright and early! Most of this blog will be picture and video posts and might stop altogether once we get on the boat. I don’t know what the wi-fi situation will be, and I won’t want to risk getting charged extra for using my phone in international waters…but we will see! We’ll keep you posted as we go 🙂
